Koerten's Fine Framing & Gifts, formerly The Koerten Gallery Ltd. had humble beginnings as a "framing corner" in a paint and decorating business, but, by pure demand, the Gallery opened it's own doors to Stevens Point in 1980. Offering a small selection of prints and quality custom framing, the gallery grew steadily.
By 1984, the building was no longer big enough to hold the inventory needed! So, with a brave leap, owners Al and Linda Koerten, designed and built the Church Street Station, a business and office complex with the space the gallery needed.
In March, 1985 the Gallery moved into its current home, featuring a 4600 square foot show room, a full service custom framing shop, and a knowledgeable and experienced staff. To artwork and custom framing, they added gifts, collectibles, sculpture, cards and more.
The Gallery has continued to grow and change with the community that surrounds it. In the early 1990's the framing department expanded into the corporate market, providing businesses with design services, artwork, awards and more.
In 2011, Al & Linda's daughter, Shauna Francis, took over the family business, renaming it Koerten's Fine Framing & Gifts. Having worked side by side with her parents since the age of 12, Shauna's years of experience will allow another generation to enjoy the products and services that Koerten's is known for.
The artwork and gifts offered at Koerten's are unique and offer a broad range to customers. Featured are many local artists. Whether an inexpensive gift or a high dollar original, Koerten's Fine Framing & Gifts strives to provide central Wisconsin with the best that art has to offer.
